The International Federation of Football Analysts (FAFI) aims at bringing together football analysts from all countries. This is a non-profit association that has several functions for the development of football:
- Being an international observatory of performance in football based on methods elaborated by the SMART FOOT LAB.
- Supervising the analyst certification granted by the SMART FOOT ACADEMY.
- Awarding the E-golden balls for each position by an international panel of expert analysts.
What is a FAFI football analyst?
A FAFI football analyst :
- Has skills for football analysis and watches at least two games per week.
- Strives to be objective and provides reliable analyses, using the rigorous analysis methods developed by the FAFI within the SMART FOOT LAB and helping to enrich these analysis
- Share constructively with other FAFI analysts, avoiding bias.
What are the FAFI analysis methods?
The FAFI aims at analyzing football, taking rigorously into account all performance parameters: technical, tactical, mental and economic.
The FAFI develops innovative methods within the SMART FOOT LAB to :
- supervise teams and players.
- analyse statistics.
- analyse feedbacks from football actors.
- take into account the economic and mental aspects.
What is the organization of the FAFI?
FAFI Administrators
The administrators are in charge of the FAFI organization by consulting FAFI analysts. A panel of 15 administrators will be elected in September 2014 by all FAFI analysts. Currently, the two administrators are the FAFI founders, Hugues ALBIZZATI and Christine JOMINET.
FAFI Expert Analysts
Experts analysts spend 1 hour per week for the election of E-golden balls. They are chosen by the FAFI Administrators among the FAFI analysts who applied. They have strong analytical skills. They look at least 2 games a week. The aim is to create in 2014 an international jury of 30 to 50 expert analysts as of March 1st 2014.
FAFI Analysts
Analysts contribute 30 minutes per week. They have good analytical skills. They look at least one
game per week. They are committed to respect its charter.
