FAFI Top 30 Players are assessed at each match by three expert analysts.
Each expert analyst supervises three players per week (a maximum of 2 players are supervised in the same game) following the method presented below in the summary.
Step 1 : Evaluation of the performance of the player during the game
During the match, the analyst must make an expert assessment of the player he supervises putting a note on five levels for each indicator assessed for the position of the player. The evaluation criteria are described in detail for each indicator. This assessment requires the analyst expert 1 minute for 15 minutes of game
The cross says that the indicator is evaluated for the corresponding position.
Description of the indicators :
- Occasions in attack : Evaluation of a player when he is involved in attack, in a scoring opportunity.
- Conclusion : Overall assessment of the player in the conclusion sector, with 15 minutes of game.
- Animation : Overall assessment of the player in the creation sector, with 15 minutes of game.
- Pressing : Overall assessment of the player in the pressing sector by halftime.
- Defense : Overall assessment of the player in the defense sector, with 15 minutes of game.
- Occasions in defense : Evaluation of a player when he is involved in defense, in a scoring opportunity.
- Attitude : Overall assessment of the attitude of the player, by halftime.
Step 2 : Entering player notes in the FAFI evaluation form.Expert analysts enter data in an excel spreadsheet. The time required to enter marks and communicate with other analysts is 20 minutes per player.
Based on expert analyst assessments, the different player marks are calculated by the FAFI evaluation model.
- The mark of the contribution in the game also takes into account the player statistics.
- The individual mark is a weighted average of the mark of the contribution in the game and the attitude mark.
- The player's performance mark is an average of the individual mark and the collective mark.
- Player’s mark is an average score of the three expert analysts’ marks.
Step 3 : Review the performance of the player
After that, each analyst adds comments on the player's performance on the FAFI website. It will take an average of 20 minutes.
Contributing time per week
Thus, each analyst spends 2 hours per week to assess and comment on the performance of the three players he oversees.
