What is the FAFI ?

The International Federation of Football Analysts (FAFI) aims at bringing together football  analysts from all countries. This is a non-profit association that has several functions for the development of football:

Who are the founders administrators of FAFI ?

FAFI's founders are neither from the football workplace, the football business or the internet world. They are no longer young. But then, where do they come from? ... They live on another planet and hope that many but serious Martians will come to join them .

FAFI E-BALLONS D'OR

An international jury of expert analysts awards the FAFI E-golden balls for each game position. In 2014, the FAFI TOP 30 players will be assessed at every game and will be monthly ranked.

The FAFI has created the SMART FOOT ACADEMY (SFA)  to train certified analysts who will join the SMART FOOT LAB teams or those of its partners.

Gérard HOULLIER's testimony

The SMART FOOT LAB  has the ambition to revolutionize football match analysis  and  already has a significant lead in this field.

What has Gérard HOULLIER said (mai 2010) :

This innovative program has been noticed by Gerard HOULLIER in 2010 when he was Technical Director of the French Football Federation. Gerard HOULLIER is a world-class coach who has led major European clubs (Liverpool, Paris St Germain, Olympique Lyonnais) and is part of the technical committee of FIFA. Currently, he is Manager of three major football clubs.

FAFI expert analyst

How to Become a FAFI expert analyst?

Expert analysts are selected by the FAFI administrators among the analyst candidates for this function. A panel of 25 to 50 experts will be set up. The final number of expert analysts who will sit on the jury depends on the quality of the candidates.

Evaluation method of E-Golden Balls

FAFI Top 30 Players are assessed at each match by three expert analysts.

Each expert analyst supervises three players per week (a maximum of 2 players are supervised in the same game) following the method presented below in the summary.

FAFI Top 50 Players compete for E-Golden balls for each position. These players will be evaluated on each match by 3 expert analysts, which imposes a limit of 50 players for 2014. Thereafter, when the jury of expert analysts is expanded the number of FAFI top players will increase.

SMART FOOT LAB

In partnership with SMART FOOT and SMART ETHICS, the FAFI created the SMART FOOT LAB, a laboratory of performance analysis in football.
